Introduction

IGXE is a large virtual currency company founded in 2001 currently based out of China. They started on ebay and launched their website in 2004. Originally the company was based out of Hong Kong and Canada, but since acquiring a large Chinese virtual currency company in 2006 they have moved their main base of operations to China. Their central office is in Chongqing, China and from the pictures we saw is quiet modern and advanced.

What characterize their website the most is their similarity with Offgamers’ website. They are the two Walmart of the virtual services market. They provide a crazy amount of services for numerous games (over 60) They sale CD-keys, PL, accounts, items, currencies. They are implementing new services every now and then like their auction feature. Many services, many fast order forms website, loads of details during the buying process, relatively good customer service.

They are without the shadow of a doubt a major actor of the market.

Ease of use

Igxe offers a great interface to quickly search for your goods. You will immediately notice if the site is of potential use to you, and they keep it in a nice shape to ensure a clear readability of the website. The navigation system is really simple and has a good visibility.

Their main strength at the moment is the plethora of quick order forms. You will find a quick order form to help you buy currency faster almost everywhere.

Of course, the site shares the same weaknesses as Offgamers’one, they are very specialized and provide loads of services, which makes the overall visibility of the website a little less striking than it is on websites that actually focus on main Mmos. They are having impressive download times.

Although, they are doing a great job at keeping it clean and simple. There is no major weakness, they offer 6 “real” currencies (EUR, USD AUD, JPY, CAD, GBP) and 4 languages (even if only the order and decisive parts of the website are translated yet) English, German, Japanese and French.

Reliability

The average live chat response time was under 5 minutes. This is much higher than the industry average and is a real weakness. The customer service representative was fairly responsive even if he was obviously speaking to a few people at the same time, his response times were pretty decent. However, the initial wait time was way too long.

The English was surprisingly good, IGXE must have improved the overall quality of its customer support since most reviews and complaints pointed out extremely poor English skills. I’m not a naitive but I can assure you that they were very easy to understand, even for someone who doesn’t speak English perfectly fluently.

IGXE claims to provide phone support and a telephone number and unlike other virtual currency providers they actually pick up the phone.

Unfortunately it was extremely difficult to hear and communicate and the customer service agent had trouble understanding what I was saying or answering any of my simple questions. He was very friendly and made great efforts to understand despite the horrible quality of the phone line. Nice effort though.

At IGXE, you may buy currency for nearly 70 MMORPGs, power leveling for more than 40 games and CD Key for more than 35 games. These figures reflect IGXE’s broad coverage of the MMORPG scene.

Purchasing

The purchasing process is rather standard. You select the game and virtual currency. You may use one of their numerous quick order forms. Then comes the registration or log in process. IGXE often runs a series of discounts and always seems to have a coupon somewhere on their website, we will our best to keep you informed about the promotions on a regular basis. During the checkout you select between three different delivery methods, face-to-face, auction house, or mail system. The auction house method is setup very well and provides easy to follow instructions. After entering in your contact information, you can choose via Paypal (credit card processing), Money Order, Wire Transfer, Moneybookers, Gift Card.

After ordering you will receive further instructions depending on what delivery method you chose and will receive a phone call to confirm your order. If you create an account you will be eligible for a customer loyalty program. They also provide a convenient system on the website for tracking the status of your order at any time on their homepage, with your order ID and email.

Pricing Policy

Overall, they are very competitive and provide consistent prices. They also have a great promotional system.

Delivery

We like that IGXE offers multiple delivery options. They recommend that you use the Auction House method or the Face-to-Face method as they claim that the mailbox method is a bit dangerous and the gold may be taken by Blizzard before it arrives in your mailbox (and the gold system has an hour delay). IGXE is a large company and can be counted to deliver your currency. They claim to delivery all currency in under twenty four hours. However, if it is 4,000-8,000 it will be in under forty eight hours.

There are easy ways to get the money in less than 3 hours:

Since late 2008, they made considerable efforts to keep a good customer service and overall decent delivery times. We noticed it was a lot better.

Summary

IGXE is a large currency and service supplier and will generally provide a reliable service. They’re a large player in the currency market and can be depended on to deliver on their promises. The main complaint with IGXE is the same complaint that most of the front runners have: Poor English and slow customer support if you have a problem. IGXE seems to be working hard to solve those issues that most of the front runners had recently. They all realized that a poor customer service was a shame and a business breaking issue. They are working on many fronts. They got a fantastic site for their suppliers. They worked hard on delivery times. Their customer service is pretty decent now, and they answer to most complaints on the Internet since early 2009.

Overall, the quality of their service is pretty good and they really seem trustworthy.

UPDATE JAN 2010

Still a pretty good website with an impressive game selection. They have been using bots lately whenever you wanna quit their website and that is horribly annoying. That’s mainly why we have been decreasing their overall rating and ease of use. They are also providing a service that doesn’t match the market leader who focus on a few games. By trying to provide currency and PL on so many games, their service is globally weaker than IGE, Epictoon or Guy4game.
